Culture Keepers is a program for JOM youth living in Rogers County.  Throughout the school year, RCCA will create craft kits to help Cherokee youth learn more about our culture.   Each month we will offer a different kit which will be will be distributed to your child by their school's JOM program.  Because the skill level for each craft varies by age, your child's JOM coordinator will decide which grade to distribute each craft kit to as them become available.

Cornhusk Dolls

Please CLICK HERE for instructions on how to help your child make a cornhusk doll.  Make sure to have your child watch the video featuring RCCA President Danielle Culp as she walks through the process of making the doll  and tells the story of why Cherokee cornhusk dolls do not have faces.

When your child finished the doll, please share a picture on the RCCA Facebook page!
